The DVD started off with an audio portion of Serge's seminar. A clip was playing of Serge in a t-shirt getting his arms oiled up and he followed that up with training with dumbbells.

Serge continued to train with dumbbells and displayed his excellent physique. Serge was six feet tall even and weighed about 200 or so pounds in his competitive form. He was a big guy, but not overly muscled or silly looking which is something to admire about his physique.
Serge went on to remove his shirt and worked out with a crusher. He was in great condition and his skin looked paper thin. You could tell that the muscles were really pushing up against the skin which gave his muscles a hard, dense look. He was cut and definitely had some of the best chest development in the history of bodybuilding. Throughout the display of Serge's physique, the audio was his seminar where he explained proper technique when it comes to working out. I always felt that seminars should focus more on nutrition than on training because nutrition is at least 75% of the big picture when it comes to bodybuilding gains, and training is only a small factor. Yet, it is continually emphasized as being the most important attribute when it comes to seminars, or even articles on the topic.
As Serge continued to go over training, training and posing footage of Serge continued to play. He performed dumbbell military presses for his shoulders which were filmed from the front and from behind. He looked great and commented on his strength. Serge said he was able to bench press 220 kilograms (490 pounds). He had the chest development which would indicate his bench press was somewhere in that ballpark. Serge was posing during this portion of the video and hit many of the usual poses as well as a few classical variations of his own. He looked incredible in the most muscular pose and any pose which highlighted his chest. His chest was full and round and conditioned. His thickness in that area was definitely among the best in the history of bodybuilding.
The crowd which Serge was giving the seminar to seemed to enjoy his presentation as you could hear frequent laughter throughout his speech. Serge explained the rep scheme he uses for various muscle groups while training. The emphasis remained on training principles, and as I said, nutrition is far more important than training when it comes to making bodybuilding gains - either in terms of size or strength.
Some footage of Serge was shown posing at the 1985 Mr. Australia competition. He looked incredible and from what I understand, he was about 50 years old when that footage was shot!
As the seminar went on, some footage of Serge in contest was shown and he was looking great. For that matter, the entire class was looking excellent, and not overly big and muscled like the pros of today. Thiery Pastell from France was also shown in the contest and he looked incredible. He was about a foot shorter than Serge but still had the same excellent proportions and symmetry - as well as some of the best abs and arms in the history of bodybuilding.
The Serge Nubret seminar was said to continue on the GMV production of V-142.
Overall, this DVD was very good. A bit short, but still good for fans of Serge. The photo quality was great and there was a balance between pumping and posing footage, as well as contest footage. The seminar was helpful for those who are looking to learn more bodybuilding tips and tricks, and any fan of Serge should look into getting this DVD. This is one of those classic gems from GMV that you won't find anywhere else. I will eventually have reviews for all of their titles up here, including all of their seminar videos. I'll later be able to tell you all how this one compares to other GMV seminar productions (e.g., Tom Platz seminar, Bertil Fox seminar, etc).
